FAQ
Questions, answered.
The boat
How big is the ADB 420?
It is 13 ft 9 in (4.20 m) long and 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m) wide, with 19.7 in (50 cm) tubes and 3 ft 6.5 in (1.08 m) of inside width.
What is the hull made of?
Welded plate aluminum, painted in a color you choose from the ADB Color System.
What engine does it take?
We recommend a single 60 hp outboard with a long shaft and a lithium battery.
Can I use it as a yacht tender?
Yes, if your yacht can carry it. Tender use depends on your yacht's certified lift capacity and available deck space. Tell us the yacht and we will check it with you.
Can I tow it with my truck?
Yes. Boat and trailer together weigh under 2,000 lb, so a normal pickup tows it.
Colors and build
Can I choose my colors?
Yes. Tubes, hull paint, upholstery and EVA deck all come from the ADB Color System catalog.
How is the boat built?
One at a time, to order. Every boat starts with your request and your colors.
How much does it cost?
Price depends on the edition, colors and engine. Reserve your hull and we answer personally with a full quote. The deposit is fully refundable.
Warranty
What does the warranty cover?
Tubes 10 years when the boat is registered within 60 days, the welded hull 5 years, and the whole boat, finishes and upholstery 2 years. Engine and electronics are covered by their own manufacturers.
Where is the warranty valid?
In the United States only, for boats registered, kept and used there.
Who pays transport for a claim?
The owner delivers the boat to ADB in Texas, or to a repair shop ADB names, and picks it up. ADB covers the repair, not the trip.
Can I transfer the warranty if I sell the boat?
Yes, one time, to a second owner in the United States, after an ADB inspection and a $250 transfer fee.
