ADB Boats, short for Advanced Design Boats, exists because the small boat market decided, somewhere along the way, that a fourteen-foot boat did not deserve to be designed. We started at the other end.

The same parts. A different object.
Engines, tube fabric, plate alloy, sizes: those are shared across the industry, and anyone claiming otherwise is selling you a story. What is not shared is the shape, the proportion, the color, and the decision of where every line goes. That is the whole product.

Hugo Ramírez
Architect and designer, based in Texas. Twenty years of architecture and visualization inform how ADB approaches proportion, material and detail. On the 420, Hugo leads the design and development of the object, and answers the build requests himself.
03 / 03 · How it is sold
One at a time.
ADB begins with one boat. The 420 is the reference point: design it, rig it, test it, document what the water teaches, and build forward from evidence.
